Pink Saturday

Pink Saturday Greetings!

I decided to bring a vintage piece from my childhood to Pink Saturday this week.

The plate is from my mother's china. You've probably seen it in many antique stores and estate sales (for not much money!). We only used it on Sunday, but I have vivid memories of our family Sunday dinners though my mother died when I was a child (50+ years ago!).

Memories are good, aren't they, especially in our nutty, stressful world. A simpler, pink time seems very appealing to me today. Even though we didn't have any money, we were happy.

I love your post! I'm glad you have those vivid memories. Do you want to know what one of my vivid dinner memories is? When you would make those little hens. And after dinner I would pick any little pieces off the bones!

Your china is beautiful - I've never seen the pattern before - and it's even sweeter having that connection with your mom.

I love your post and your memories. One of my favorite memories of dinner at home is your chicken spaghetti. I loved how you put lots of celery seed in the recipe. It was so, so yummy!!!

Love you

I said that because if my friends ever get on there, I don't want them to know what I'm shopping for before I get it. ;)
So I'll post it here. We've been shopping for a car for me!!! :D
I'm so excited. I know it could be months before we find one, but I'm still very excited. Daddy and I are leaving now to go shop more, so...I'll talk to you later! :) Remember...it's a secret! :D
Love you!

How wonderful you have something that belonged to your mom. I found you from your daughters site..she was sweet enough to leave an wonderful comment for my mom and aunt who are brand new this week to blogging and feeling overwhelmed.

You have a delightful blog, I will be back for another visit. Your plate by the way is beautiful.
